What is Route Package Protection?

Route Package Protection is an optional add-on available at checkout that helps cover your order if it's lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. If your Route-protected order runs into a shipping issue, Route's support team will help get it replaced or refunded. Route also donates to agroforestry initiatives with every Package Protection purchase, and you'll receive a Cash Back voucher for store credit, redeemable 1–8 weeks from your purchase date, included in your Route order confirmation email. When a refund is issued and Automatic Issue Resolution is enabled, Route covers the subtotal, shipping, and taxes on the order. Claims for items marked as delivered but reported stolen are reviewed no earlier than 5 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the delivery date. You can track all your Route-protected orders and file claims through the Route app or at claims.route.com. Route itself is not an insurance company, but is authorized to offer shipping insurance through its licensed entity, Safe Order Solutions, underwritten by Seg Insurance Ltd.
