How to Remove Water Spots and Mineral Deposits From Glass
How to Remove Water Spots and Mineral Deposits From Glass
What's often called "acid rain" damage on glass is usually mineral deposits rather than true acid etching, and it becomes far more noticeable once film is installed, since tinting tends to enhance any existing surface imperfection.
How to Remove It
A rust and mineral stain remover, applied with steel wool and worked in a circular motion, can lift these deposits before installation. Take care to keep the product off any surrounding paint, since these removers do have an acidic property, and follow up with a standard glass cleaner once the deposits are gone.
This is also a straightforward upsell for a tint job, since it's a quick add-on service many customers are happy to pay for once they see the difference.
