Reverse Roll Technique for Rear Windows

Reverse roll is a technique for handling a rear window piece after it's been shrunk and trimmed, rolling the film (release liner facing you) into a manageable form before final installation.

How It Works

Lightly wet the film first to reduce static that could otherwise draw debris into the job, then work the release liner off with your fingers as you roll, easing the film back gradually rather than pulling it all at once to avoid creasing.

This technique is especially useful for installing solo, since it gives you more control over a large piece of film than trying to handle it flat.
