Panashield
Architectural Ceramic Window Film
Reduce heat while keeping your windows looking natural.
Panashield is a ceramic window film designed to improve comfort without changing the appearance of your windows. Unlike reflective films that create a mirror look, Panashield has a low-reflective finish that maintains the natural look of glass while helping reduce heat from the sun.
Its advanced ceramic layer absorbs solar heat and slows down the transfer of heat through the glass, helping rooms stay cooler and more comfortable. At the same time, it blocks over 99% of harmful UV rays to help protect furniture, flooring, and interior finishes from fading.
What Panashield Helps With
- Reduces heat from direct sunlight
- Maintains a clear, natural view
- Blocks over 99% of harmful UV rays
- Helps protect furniture and flooring from fading
- Low reflectivity for a clean, non-mirror appearance
- Dark, stealthy look that blends with modern glass
Film Shades Available
40% – Light Tint
Natural appearance with the most heat reduction of the available shades.
50% – Very Light Tint
High visibility with subtle heat reduction and a soft, low-reflective look.
70% – Nearly Clear
Barely visible appearance with light heat reduction and strong UV protection.
Good to Know
- Designed for interior installation
- High visibility with minimal glare reduction
- Low-reflective ceramic technology
Important Installation Note
Unlike reflective window films that reflect heat away from the glass, ceramic films absorb solar energy. Because of this, it is important to verify that your window type is compatible before installation. Always consult the film-to-glass compatibility chart and follow recommended installation guidelines.

Glass Compatibility Notice
Flat glass window films interact differently with various types of glass. Because every window system is different, we cannot determine which film is safe for your specific glass type.
Before installation, we strongly recommend reviewing our film-to-glass compatibility chart or consulting a qualified installer who can evaluate your windows in person.
Improper film selection or installation may cause glass stress or other issues. Final responsibility for film selection and installation rests with the installer.

Check Film To Glass Compatibility
The chart below helps determine whether a film is compatible with your specific glass by measuring thermal stress—the amount of heat your glass can safely handle once film is applied.
Every film and glass combination generates a thermal stress load on the glass. Too much stress and the glass can crack — a phenomenon called thermal breakage. This calculator uses the industry-standard Film-to-Glass stress chart to estimate that load for your specific setup.

Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve got answers! Our FAQ section covers everything you need to know.
Is this the same film professionals use?
Yes. This is professional-grade window film. The only difference is we offer it in smaller rolls so DIY installers can use it too.
Is window film hard to install?
It takes patience, but many people install it themselves successfully. Using the right tools and taking your time makes a big difference.
What tools do I need?
At minimum you'll need a spray bottle, slip solution, squeegee, and sharp blade. Our DIY Window Film Application Kit include everything most people need to get started.
Will I need a slip solution?
Yes, you absolutely need a slip solution for a smooth, successful installation. It allows you to position the film, remove bubbles, and get a clean finish. We recommend using our Tint-Tac slip solution, or grabbing our DIY Window Film Application Kit, which includes everything you need to get the job done right.
Does window film go on the inside or outside of the glass?
Most architectural window film installs on the inside of the glass.
Will window film make my room darker?
Some films will reduce light slightly. Privacy and reflective films usually darken the glass more than ceramic or frosted films.
Does window film really reduce heat?
Yes. Window film helps reduce solar heat and glare, which can make rooms more comfortable and easier to cool.
Does reflective film work at night?
Reflective films provide privacy during the day. At night, when lights are on inside, people may still see in.
Can I remove the film later?
Yes. Window film can be removed if needed, although it may take some time and effort depending on how long it has been installed.
Can window film damage my glass?
Every window is different. Some glass types are more sensitive to heat. If you're unsure what type of glass you have, we recommend consulting a professional installer before installation.
Do darker shades get more reflective?
Not necessarily. Reflectivity depends on the film design. Some darker films are very reflective, while others maintain a more natural look.
Will daytime privacy work at night?
Mirror‑type privacy relies on exterior light. At night, interior lights reverse the effect. Use blinds or dim lights to maintain privacy.
What is one-way daytime privacy?
Reflective films can create daytime privacy because the brighter side of the glass becomes reflective. During the day it’s brighter outside, so people outside see the reflection instead of inside. At night, when lights are on inside, the effect reverses.
