How Does Automotive Window Film Affect Vehicle Heating and Cooling?
How Does Automotive Window Film Affect Vehicle Heating and Cooling?
Window film reduces the amount of solar heat transmitted through your vehicle's glass, which lowers interior temperature and eases the load on your air conditioning system.
Ceramic Layers
The ceramic layers in Panaflex and Nanoflex are non-conductive, acting as a barrier that reflects infrared radiation — the part of sunlight most responsible for heat build-up inside a vehicle.
Carbon Nanoparticles
Carbon nanoparticles, used across Panaflex and Nanoflex, absorb a portion of the solar spectrum, adding another layer of heat control without significantly reducing visibility.
The net effect is a cooler cabin in hot weather, less reliance on AC, and in cooler weather, a modest assist in retaining interior warmth — though heat insulation remains the film's primary benefit.
