We've seen situations where someone orders a sample not to test the film but to tint part or even an entire vehicle. That's not the point of offering samples, and it hurts our ability to keep things fair for serious installers and business owners who genuinely want to explore our products.

Charging for samples helps us keep the process honest and ensures that the people requesting them are actually considering using our films. But we get it—nobody wants to pay for a test piece and feel like they've wasted money. That's why we make it easy to turn your sample into a win. If you buy a sample roll and decide you like the product, we'll send you a discount code to apply the cost of that sample roll toward your first full roll purchase. Works for Automotive and Architectural Window Films

These ratios are dialed in for pressure‑sensitive automotive window tint, and they perform just as smoothly on pressure‑sensitive architectural window film.

Using dry‑adhesive architectural film? Start with roughly 25–50 % of the mix I state below.

What You Need

• Distilled or reverse‑osmosis water – minerals in tap water can hurt adhesion and even clarity.
• SlipX (dish soap-based) or Tint‑Tac (shampoo-based).
• A clean 32 oz spray bottle and the product’s own cap for measuring.

Why Most Pros Pick Dish Soap

Years of installer feedback show dish‑soap formulas pair best with urethane adhesives. They give enough slip to position the film without leaving so much residue that panels curl later. Shampoo works too—you just use twice as much product.

Mixing Ratios (32 oz Bottle)

Official Directions (per gallon)

• SlipX: Add 0.4 oz of SlipX to 1 gallon of water. Mix well.
• Tint‑Tac: Add 1 oz of Tint‑Tac to 1 gallon of water. Mix well.

Hot & humid shop? Add a splash more.
Cooler temps? Use a hair less so tack stays snappy.

Quick Step‑By‑Step

1. Fill the bottle halfway with distilled water.
2. Measure SlipX or Tint‑Tac with the cap (see table).
3. Pour and swirl gently—avoid whipping foam.
4. Top off to 32 oz, tighten the lid, and give one slow roll to mix.
5. Test on scrap glass. Too slippery? Back off a few drops. Grabbing too quick? Add a touch more.

Stick with distilled water, use 1 cap SlipX or 2 caps Tint‑Tac per 32 oz bottle, and tweak only for extreme weather. Once you nail your local ratio, write it on the bottle so every refill is identical. Smooth installs, happy customers – done.
