Hey there, it’s Ralph from Flexfilm and I wanted to show you a new tool I picked up on Amazon. It’s called a light box, though it’s basically just a slim white pad that lights up. Mine came with a battery pack, but you can also power it through a USB connection, like you would with a phone charger.
I spent around 30 bucks on this, though prices can vary. It’s not too pricey, and I’ve found it really helpful. What it does is let me see the specific colors in different window films. Sometimes it’s hard to spot subtle yellows, reds, or greens under normal fluorescent or LED lighting. Even going outside doesn’t always help. But this light box makes it easier to catch all those tiny color differences.
I’ve tested it with our Nanoflex, Terraflex, and a few carbon and ceramic options. You can see how each film looks when it’s lit evenly from behind. Here at Flexfilm, we care a lot about color consistency. We want our windshield films to match what you put on the side windows, and this tool helps us check that everything stays in the right range.
If you’re like me and you enjoy having handy little gadgets, you might want to grab one for yourself. It’s around $30 on Amazon. That’s it for now—just wanted to share this cool find. Thanks for reading, and have fun checking out those film colors!
